History
On 6 March 1977, WCFE-TV signed from studios at Suny Plattsburgh. WCFE-TV (Channel 57) has a sister channel, named National Public Radio from 1990 to 1996. Due to bad timing, the WCFE radio station signed as North Country Public Radio and started to build many satellites, and repeaters in the WCFE-TV service area. But this service was not also enough so the radio station got a strong signal from Vermont. In 1996, Albany’s WAMC purchased WCFE-FM from Mountain Lake.
