KGBY TV is a Cozi TV station based in Western Slope region and licensed to Grand Junction. The channel began its operations in Oct 1979 and is owned by Chang Media Group. Mesa Point Electronics serves as the transmitter site of the HD station.

History
KJCT went on air on Oct 22, 1979 as Western Colorado’s first station since the inception of KREX-TV in 1954. A semi-satellite of Colorado Springs-based KRDO-TV station, the channel beat out to KREX to get affiliated with KREX under its original ownership Pikes Peak Broadcasting Company. It operated with full production facilities in Grand Junction; however it received majority of its programming from microwave signals of KRDO. Under Chief Engineer Roger Hightower, the channel went for its first digital facilities in 90s.
NPG: News-Press & Gazette Company in 2006 revealed its purchase of KJCT and KRDO-TV and its radio sister KRDO radio. Its third digital sub-channel got linked with The CW in the later part of 2008. On Oct 31, 2013, NPG sold its asset to Excalibur Broadcasting owned by a former Gray Executive. Gray then operated the station under JSA and SSA which made it a sister to KKCO. The calls were changed to KGBY on Oct 28, 2014 when Gray transferred the station to Chang Media Group.
Programming
KJCT on May 22, 2009 became the maiden station to broadcast local news in HD feed. A news set was introduced in May 2011 with overhauling of graphics package. The news operations of the channel are closed since Jan 2015. KGBY currently airs entertainment shows, and a number of season for audiences in Grand Junction, Colorado.
