KUEN is an educational channel broadcasting in Salt Lake City, Utah and is licensed to Ogden. It is owned by Utah State Board of Regents. Utah Educational Network is the operator of the station located at Eccles Broadcast Center at the University of Utah Campus. Its transmitter is located at Farnsworth Peak in Oquirrh Mountains, southwest of Salt Lake City. A large chain of repeaters expands the coverage across Utah as well as in some part of Colorado.

History
KTYY was successful to acquire the construction permit for a full-power educational TV in the Salt Lake City area on VHF Ch 9. The calls of the channel were changed to KWBR. The owners faced difficulties in keeping the channel up and therefore resigned from the permit which was then granted to Utah State Board of Regents; the new callsign taken by the channel was KULC licensed on Feb 27, 1987. The permit for digital signal for KULC-DT was granted on Aug 21, 2003. It operated under the Program Test Authority until April 2003. The calls were once again changed to KUEN in Sep 2004. The channel underwent digital conversion on June 12, 2009. The programming broadcasted by the channel includes educational and teacher professional development programs. Students can also get themselves enrolled in the adult educational sessions to get GED certifications. In additional general interest programs are also part of the lineups.
