KUPU owned by Hawaii Catholic TV, Inc. is a Hawaiian station launched on Oct 1, 2003 and affiliated with Cozi TV. Licensed to Waimanalo, the studios of the station are located on Waimanu Street in downtown Honolulu while the two transmitter side can be found near Waimanalo Beach and atop mountain range of Mauna Kapu. In Oct 2013, Oceanic Time Warner Cable added the religious station to its digital lineup @ Channel 56. Hawaiian Telcom carries it on the Channel 15 while DirecTV broadcasts it on Channel 56.

A construction permit was given to Waimanalo Television Partners on Oct 17, 2000 for a full service TV station on UHF Ch: 56 by FCC. KMGT were the call signs issued to the news station which began broadcasting on Oct 1, 2003 after some signal testing. It acquired its official license on June 18, 2004. Oceania Christian Church in Sep 2006, purchased the media from Waimanalo Television Partners and changed the calls to KUPU in the very next month.
Digital Conversion
The service was put on digital transmission on Jan 15, 2009 using UHF Channel 15 as other full-power stations in the state also experienced transition to digital signal.
Content
Before its affiliation with Cozi TV Network, the channel would host both locally produced content as well as syndicated Catholic-oriented programming borrowed from Catholic TV. It would also share programs form Vatican TV.
