KXLA TV owned by Rancho Palos Verdes Broadcasters, Inc. is an Asian programming station launched in Dec 2000. Ronald Ulloa who also owns KVMD operating in Twentynine Palms has the majority interest in the station that is headquartered on Corinth Avenue in West Los Angeles. Transmitter of the station is set up at Mt. Wilson.

The station affiliated with America One went on air in Dec 2000 as KRPA. The calls were changed to KXLA on Aug 8, 2001 with the introduction of ethnic content. Call signs: KXLA were previously associated with a Pasadena station KRDC. The transmitter of the station was originally maintained on Catalina Island before shifting to its current location at Mt. Wilson in 2004. KJLA and KVMD are the sisters of the service. The analog transmission of KXLA went down on June 12, 2009 to support the federally launched digital transitioning campaign. The digital signal remained on the pre flash-cut dial UHF: Ch 51.
The ethnic programming hosted by the channel include Japanese content form Fujisankei Communications International, Spanish catholic programming and entertainment programs borrowed from Bollywood. Infomercials, KBS World and Liquidation Channel programming are also included in the daily lineups.
