WCAX Burlington (Channel 3) is CBS affiliated television station, licensed to Burlington, Vermont New York. Gray Television is owned the station. The studios located on Joy Drive in South Burlington. It established in 1954, and the first show of WCAX-TV aired 64 years ago on 26 September 1954. The call letter meaning of the network was derived from former sister which is now known as WVMT.

History
WCAX is the first station of Vermont and calls sign derived by University of Vermont campus on 10 October 1924. The station first time signed in the air on 26 September 1954 with call letters WMVT, and changed in May 1955 into WCAX-TV. Hasbrook got ownership over the station in 1958. The station purchased by Gray Television in 2017 and affiliated with CBS television. The station had the secondary affiliation with Fox Television from 1994 to 1997. The Fox affiliation was ended in 1997, and WCAX-Tv started digital signal to Broadcast CBS programming on 25 October 2006. Gray Television purchased the station on 4 May 2017 for $29 million and completed the sale on August 1.
