WFUT-DT (Channel 68) is a television station which affiliated with UniMas, licensed to Newark, New Jersey. The channel branded as UniMas Nueva York. Univision Communications has owned the station and serving the New York metropolitan area. The studios located in Frank W. Burr Boulevard in Teaneck and station share this studio with WFTY-DT. The station instituted in 1974 and the first show of this system aired 44 years ago on 29 September 1974. The call letter meaning of WFUT-DT originated from “TeleFUTura (former name for UniMas)”.

History
WFUT was established with call letter WBTB-TV on 29 September 1974 by Old Bridge Township. The network faced some financial issues in early January 1975. But, in 1975 the transmission returned to the air and became “specialty station”. Wometco Enterprises purchased the station in 1977, and the call letters changed into WTVG. The station call signs changed into WWHT in 1978. WWHT broadcasted all kind of programming such as religious shows, general entertainment programs etc. In 1981, WWHT affiliated with Financial News Network and offered programming 24 hours a day. Home Shopping Network purchased two stations in 1986: one is WWHT which changed into WHSE and WSNL into WHSI. Home shopping Network carried programming for sixteen years. WHSE started programming with AIN/UATV in 2001and remained till 2002. After that Telefutura started programming with call letters WFUT-TV and continued till 2013. Univision Communication purchased the whole USA Broadcasting sale deal, and now the station under it.

WFUT-DT has carried all kind of programming such as news, Talk shows, drama series etc. It also offered to program in the Spanish language.
