WGMB-TV launched on Aug 11, 1991 is a Fox affiliate serving Baton Rouge, Louisiana, US. Nexstar Media Group is the owner of the channel 44 having WBRL, WVLA and KZUP as its sisters. Nexstar operates WLVA via JSA and SSA however, the original owner of the channel is White Knight Broadcasting. The four channels have studios located on Perkins Road in Baton Rouge with a transmitter located near Addis, Louisiana. Cox Communications, AT&T U-verse, Dish Network and DirecTV are the cable and satellite carriers of the television.

History
WGMB hit the waves on Aug 11, 1991 under the ownership of Galloway family through Communications Corporation of America. It took owners five years to bring Fox to the Baton Rouge as FCC allotted Ch 44 to Baton Rouge in 1983. Apart form carrying Fox’s content it also aired syndicated programs including movies and entertainment programs. The channel added WVLA as its sister in 1996 when Galloway family decided to purchase NBC affiliate; it was purchased by Thomas Galloway’s son who previously also held interest in WGMB before selling to his father to buy WVLA. Before the purchase of WVLA, the station aired form Florida Boulevard. It along with its sister moved to the current facilities located on Perkins Road in Baton Rouge.
ComCorp filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in June 2006. The owner on April 24, 2013 revealed the sale of all of its all assets to Nexstar Broadcasting Group; the deal also included the LMA and consummated on Jan 1, 2015. It couldn’t produce a local news-bulletins until 2007 but broadcasted kids programming and other local content from Baton Rouge area. Fox Rox Saturday was among the locally produced show. It added WBRL-CD on its second sub-channel and also added Cozi TV on its third sub-channel on Jan 25, 2018. After Nexstar acquired Tribune Media assets in 2019 it became sister with KZUP.
